What a week it’s been

Hello and welcome

Welcome to my first newsletter from Tanser Coaching. I’m thrilled you’re here!

What can I say? It has been quite a week! Some things I've been up to are:

Launch of Tanser Coaching (of course!)

As you may know, Tanser Coaching officially launched last week, a massive milestone on a long journey. I knew five years ago that I wanted to make more of a difference, particularly helping women find their confidence and power through financial security. I spent four years ruminating on the idea, doing ever more research, and building the financial resources to needed to make a major career change. Over the past 12 months, I’ve done the training, coaching, built the business foundations (alongside home schooling), all the while getting more excited to officially launch! Having announced our launch last week, I have been delighted by the feedback from so many about our purpose, and I am thrilled to be here now!

I’ll share a bit more about my story in upcoming newsletters, so you can see both what drives me to do this work, but also how I financially laid building blocks to allow me to change. After all, I firmly believe financial security is all about enabling choice … including the choice to change careers.

What dreams do you want to enable? How are you laying the building blocks to go for it?

Tackling my emotional spending

We all attach emotions to money, some helpful, some less so. One emotion I attach to money is feeling I deserve to treat myself with clothes when I feel particularly stressed or emotional. When I had a big, stressful corporate job, I found myself on clothing websites far too often! Knowing that about myself, I made it a personal goal to not spend on clothes during the current lockdown, and I’m proud to say that so far I am sticking to it! Weekly catch ups with a good friend on our plans and goals for the week are helping us are helping us both stay accountable and focused on what really matters to us in the midst of so much chaos. Hopefully now that I’ve said it publicly, I can carry on for the rest of lockdown!

Awareness of the emotions & accountability is key!

Setting my 2021 Financial Goals

We all have great intentions about setting new years resolutions in January, and if you’re like me, you’ve already broken them. That said, I’m taking some time this week to think about the 2-3 major financial goals I want to achieve this year, so I can stay focused on the prize when I find myself getting tempted by a gorgeous blouse on Instagram! Things like a long holiday to see family in the States when we’re allowed to travel again, a targeted £ amount into my pension, or rebuilding my savings after tapping into them this past year.

Have you thought about what 2-3 financial goals you'd like to achieve in 2021?

So that’s a bit about me and what’s on my mind this week. I plan to write every two weeks to share financial tips, great articles I’ve seen, or what’s on my mind.

If you like what you see, please tell a friend to sign up at www.tansercoaching.com. And if you have any questions or suggestions for future newsletters, please drop me a note at hello@tansercoaching.com.

See you in a couple of weeks!

Cheers,

Anne
